How lovematch.tennis works

01
Sign up and pick your level
Choose a plain-English level description — or enter your NTRP rating directly. Three quick questions help confirm the right ladder for you. First ladder is always free.
02
Challenge or post a slot
Challenge any player within 5 spots of you, or post a date and time on the match board and let eligible players come to you. You choose who to confirm.
03
Play, submit, climb
Both players confirm the score after the match. Win earns 3 points, a loss still earns 1 — so there's no reason not to play. Rankings update instantly.

Everyone earns something every match

Most ladder systems punish a loss — so players stop accepting challenges to protect their record. Not here. Losing is still progress. That keeps everyone playing, and keeps the ladder alive.

+3
Win
You beat your opponent — climb the ranking
+1
Loss
You still earn — no reason to duck a challenge
−2
Inactivity (after 3 weeks)
Stay active or your points gently decay — keeps the ladder fresh

Just want a hit?

Not every session needs to be a ranked match. Toggle your availability and let other players know you're open for a casual hit — no points, no pressure.
